Not so womanly women's trail

1:19 AM

8:30 am and we hiked to the edge of our young lives. "The woman's trail," a trail
set for women only for their pilgramage around the holy mountain of koya-san, was not so womanly.

The trees were tall but the trail was very narrow. Unfortunately I was paying to my life, trying to make it to 21, so I don't have many photos of the process.

This gate was towards the end! (Before the spider incident. Huge spider web that  trapped our web-swatting STICK)

This was to tell us it was the end of the woman's trail. It doesn't really say that, but I interpreted it as the cute animals telling me "good work, forienger. you're not dead."

THE SUN WAS OUT. A very rare thing for koya-kun. The kongobuji temple is the headquarters of Koya-san Shingon-shu Buddhism. It's the equivalent to going to the Vatican, so I couldn't take any photos inside. womp.

This is the largest dry rock garden in Japan! I decided to take a panoramic view :) I feel very blessed to be able to see these things. I must've done something right in a past life hahaha.

They even gave us tea with tea cookies! My group really loves the tea cookies.

We had someone take a picture of us :) He didn't understand iphones, so he took like 40 pictures without knowing. thanks stranger-kun.

Then, finally, lunch! It's hard to find places that serve curry rice in the states, so I ordered curry rice again. I love it so much 8") This place's tasted a lot better.

I came back to the temple while others continued shopping. I clonked out for 2 and half hours, and now I'm almost ready for dinner!

Tonight is our last night in koya-san, which is sad because this is such an amazing place. Tomorrow will be an all travel day. Meaning, traveling all the way to our next place to stay, which is in Kamikatsu! We'll be taking a taxi, a ferry, and then a bus. oof. Lots of sleeping will happen and maybe some reading :0

Slower paced day today! Hopefully these posts are worth reading. This my first time really blogging and I like it a lot! I hope that in time, I'm able to develop a good voice and get more comfortable here on this blog (・ω・)ノ

Love,
Mana
